Sewell, NJ – Saturday, the Lackawanna College Softball team lost both games of its non-conference doubleheader to Rowan College at Gloucester County. The Lady Falcons fell in the opener 12-0 and then dropped the nightcap by an 8-5 score.

In the opener, the Falcons' bats went cold as they collected only six hits, none for extra bases. Alexandria Thoman had Lackawanna's only multi-hit game a two for three contest. Also reaching base by way of a single were Taylor Maloney, Colleen Cwalina, Ashley Walsh and Lauryn Rodriguez.

Ashley Walsh suffered the loss.

In the second contest, the Lackawanna bats came awake as they scored five runs on eight hits. Both Brenda Reninga and Alexandria Thoman had multi-hit games. Reninga singled twice and scored a run in four at bats. Thoman singled twice in three official trips to the plate while scoring once and driving in another. Jordan Skoff had the Falcons' only extra base hit, a double in the sixth, while Shea Petty used her only hit of the game productively as she drove in two.

Amanada Mowry took the loss as she gave up eight runs, all unearned.

The Falcons play again tomorrow when they face CCBC Catonsville in a doubleheader at Catonsville, Maryland. The first game is scheduled to start at 1:00 PM.
