  • Falcons sweep Montgomery in non-conference Twin-Bill

    Blue Bell, PA – Thursday afternoon, the Lackawanna College Softball team swept Montgomery County Community College in a non-conference doubleheader. The Falcons outscored the Mustangs in each game by scores of 15-4 and 16-2.
  • Durkin slams 3 Run Dinger to Lead Falcons to Win

    Jessup, PA – Wednesday afternoon, Paige Durkin slammed a three-run homer to lead the Lackawanna College Softball team to a doubleheader split with Orange County Community College.  The Lady Falcons were outscored by Orange in a 10-4 loss before rebounding in the nightcap to claim a 11-8 victory.
  • Lady Falcons lose in Weather Shortened Game

    Schnecksville, PA – Tuesday afternoon, the Lackawanna College softball team had their Eastern Pennsylvania Athletic Conference doubleheader against Lehigh Carbon Community College come to an early end due to inclement weather. As a result of that weather, the first game came to an end after five-inning with the Falcons being shutout 5-0. Since it was considered a complete game, Lackawanna suffered a loss. The second game was canceled outright .
  • Falcons change Doubleheader Venue

    Scranton, PA, the venue of Wednesday's Lackawanna College softball doubleheader between the Falcons and Orange County Community College has changed. That twin-bill will now be played at the Jessup Youth Association Field located at 1 Moosic Lake Road, Jessup, Pennsylvania.
  • Lackawanna splits Conference Doubleheader with RCBC
    April 14, 2018
    Pemberton, NJ – Saturday afternoon the Lackawanna College Softball team split a Region XIX Division II twin bill with Rowan College at Burlington County. Playing at RCBC, the Falcons claimed a 6-1 victory in the opening game, only to lose the nightcap 3-2 on a Burlington bases loaded walk off sacrifice fly in the seventh.
  • Orlowski Shines in Twin Bill Sweep

    Dunmore, PA – Thursday afternoon Kacey Orlowski helped lead the Lackawanna College Softball team to a doubleheader sweep over Raritan Valley Community College. Lackawanna outscored the Lions by scores of 11-3 and 20-1 as Orlowski had a seven for eight day with six runs scored and five runs driven in. Orlowski also earned a mound win in the second game.
  • Lady Falcons Sweep!

    Dunmore, PA – Tuesday afternoon, the Lackawanna College Softball team swept Bucks County Community College in its first Eastern Pennsylvania Athletic Conference home doubleheader of the 2018 season. The Falcons won 18-3 in the opening game and then shutout Bucks 17-0 in the Nightcap.
  • Lady Falcons split Region XIX DII Doubleheader

    Monday afternoon, the Lackawanna College Softball team finally got the opportunity to open its Region XIX Division schedule with a doubleheader against County College of Morris. Lackawanna split that twin bill, beating Morris 6-5 on a walk-off, before falling by a 8-6 score in the nightcap.
  • Lady Falcons split Non-Conference Twin-Bill

    Lincroft, NJ – For the first time in over a week, the Lackawanna College Softball team was able to take the field in a non-conference doubleheader against Brookdale Community College. In the first game the Lady Falcons beat Brookdale 9-5, before dropping a heartbreaker in the nightcap by a 4-3 score.
  • Falcons split with Monroe College

    New Rochelle, NY – The Lackawanna College Softball team spent its Friday afternoon playing Monroe College in a non-conference doubleheader. The Lackawanna split the twin bill, losing the opener 7-6 before bouncing back in the nightcap to win by a 6-2 score in extra innings
  • Lady Falcons Sweep!

    Middletown, NY – In order to get its softball team back on the field, Lackawanna College traded home and away dates with Orange County Community College. As such, games that were originally scheduled to be Lackawanna’s home opener turned into another road twin-bill. It worked out well for the Lady Falcons as the swept both games 9-3 and 2-1.
  • Lackawanna splits Doubleheader with Catonsville

    Catonsville, MD – Sunday afternoon, the Lackawanna College Softball team split its doubleheader with CCBC Catonsville. The Lady Falcons outscored Catonsville 8-7 in the opener, before dropping the nightcap by a 7-4 score.

    Sewell, NJ – Saturday, the Lackawanna College Softball team lost both games of its non-conference doubleheader to Rowan College at Gloucester County. The Lady Falcons fell in the opener 12-0 and then dropped the nightcap by an 8-5 score.
  • Lady Falcons split Getaway Games
    March 10, 2018
    Myrtle Beach, SC – The Lady Falcons split the final two contests played on the last day of their spring trip. In the morning contest, they lost to John Wood Community College by a 9-3 score, before beating USC Sumter 9-2 in their getaway game. With the split, Lackawanna finished their spring trip with a win/loss record of 10-3.
  • Lady Falcons win Two of Three in Friday’s Softball Action

    Myrtle Beach, SC – The Lackawanna College Softball team won two of the three games it played on Friday, beating Cumberland County College 9-1 and Lincoln College 7-3. Their only loss was a 7-3 defeat at the hands of USC-Sumter.
  • Lackawanna beats Ocean thanks to Sixth Inning Rally

    Myrtle Beach, SC – The Lackawanna College Softball team rallied for nine runs in the sixth inning to secure a 15-3 win over Ocean County College. Amanda Varaksa, Ashley Walsh, Jordan Skoff, Amanda Mowry and Vanessa Wolf all drove in key runs in that pivital inning.
  • Lady Falcons outslug Opponents in Two Game Sweep

    Myrtle Beach, SC – Wednesday afternoon, the Lackawanna College Softball team improved their 2018 win/loss record to 6-1 with a two-game sweep of their scheduled games at the Ripken Experience. In their first game of the day, Lackawanna outscored Henry Ford Community College 11-2 before outslugging PSU Allegany 15-4 in the night-cap. The Falcons took both contests in shortened five inning games.
  • Lady Falcons win Two of Three games

    Myrtle Beach, SC – Tuesday, the Lackawanna College Softball team played a rare three games in one day. The Falcons won two of those games while losing its first game of the young season. Lackawanna started the day with an 8-0 win over Grand Rapids Community College in five innings. They then fell to USC Salkehatchie 7-3 in the afternoon contest, before finishing the day with a 10-1 victory in another five-inning game.
  • Lackawanna wins two games on Opening Day

    Monday afternoon, the Lackawanna College Softball team opened their 2018 season with a sweep of two games played at the Ripken Experience in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. In its first contest against Cumberland Community College, Lackawanna beat the Dukes 19-5 in 5 innings. In the night cap they beat Henry Ford Community College 12-3 in six innings

  • Lackawanna announces 2017 Softball Fall Schedule

    Scranton, PA - Coach Jeff Pittsman has announced the 2017 Lackawanna Fall softball schedule. The Lady Falcons are coming off an impressive 2016-2017 season where they went 24-14 and captured the NJCAA Division II Region XIX Championship. They will be playing a competitive fall schedule starting Saturday, September 16th against Lock Haven and concluding at home on Sunday, October 22nd against Penn State Schuylkill.
  • Lackawanna Softball tied for 39th place in Academic Rankings

    Scranton, PA – Monday, the National Junior College Athletic Association officially published its list of Academic Teams. The Lackawanna College softball team made that list tying for 39th place with Daytona State College, East Central College and Northern Oklahoma College – Tonkawa with a team Grade Point Average of 3.38.
