Dunmore, PA – Despite a five hit afternoon by Michaela Hedglin, the Lackawanna College softball team dropped both ends of Saturday's Region XIX doubleheader to Burlington County College by scores of 8-4 and 5-2. In the second game, Lackawanna again took the lead in the bottom of the first, only to see Burlington take it away from Lackawanna with a run in the second and one in the third. The Lady Falcons tied the score in the bottom of the fifth with another solo run. Unfortunately for the Falcons the Lady Barons scored three in the seventh which Lackawanna could not answer.
Hedglin's three hits led the Lackawanna offensive. Collen Walsh and Jessica Bobersky joined Hedglin in her multi-hit effort. Walsh singled twice in four at bats and scored twice, while Bobersky went two for three with an RBI. Bethany Mickavicz was credited with the Falcons' other run driven in.
