Scranton, PA – The Lackawanna College Athletic Department is honored to announce that three members of its inaugural men's soccer team have received All Region XIX Division I recognition. All three were named to the All-Region Second Team. Those selected were Daniel ZunigaBryce Scofield and Rob Kuzma.

Zuniga, a freshman forward, scored 7 goals, was credited with 5 assists, and contributed 2 game winning goals. In discussing Zuniga's selection, Lackawanna's head coach, Justin Cardamone said, "Daniel plays with his heart on his sleeve. He always gives us his absolute best and plays till the final whistle. On and off the field Daniel has been a great representative for Lackawanna College and our Men's Soccer Program. In this our Inaugural season, he was our leader on our front attacking line. Players like Daniel strengthens our squads' belief that next season we can accomplish even more!" Zuniga is a resident of Lakeland, Florida and graduate of McKeel Academy of Technology.

Scofield, the team captain, scored a single goal and was the Falcon's top defensive player. In referencing Scofield, Cardamone said, "In our conference there aren't many players that put in more effort than Bryce. He is a general in the heart of our defense and fears no one on the soccer pitch. He has a commanding presence on the field as a very strong physical center back. After our final game of the season, Bryce told me that pre-season starts today! That is the heart and determination that all great players have!" Scofield is a resident of Stratford, Connecticut and a graduate of Stratford High School.

Kuzma, a freshman goalkeeper recorded 2 shutouts in his 3 wins and accumulated 41 saves. Cardamone said of his goaltender, "Rob has had a very successful season for us with two shutout victories in our inaugural season. Playing in a conference with powerhouse teams such as Harcum College and Mercer County Community College, being named an All-Region Second Team Goalkeeper, as a freshman, is a great accomplishment and attests to the hard work and effort that Rob has put in all season long. This recognition is well deserved." Kuzma is a resident of Scranton, Pennsylvania
