West Windsor, NJ – Saturday afternoon the Lackawanna College men's soccer team lost to Mercer County Community College by a 3-0 score. The Falcons played well in their second Region XIX contest in team history holding Mercer won of the Region's powerhouses to a sole goal into half time.
Offensively, Lackawanna recorded 5 shots on goal while holding the Vikings to 9 SOGs.
In analyzing the contest, Lackawanna College's head coach, Justin Cardamone, said, Lackawanna Falcons dominated possession and the exchanges in the opening half and were very unlucky to be down 1 0 at half time. The Falcons created more than enough scoring chances to have had the lead at halftime.
In the second half Mercer was able to extend their lead 3 to 0 despite a strong showing by goalkeeper Rob Kuzma, who was credited with 6 saves in the match.
