Cardamone Heads Falcons’ Soccer in Inaugural Year

Scranton, PA – The Lackawanna College Men's Soccer team will start their Inaugural Season under the leadership of Justin Cardamone. Selected as Lackawanna's first ever head soccer coach, Cardomone will bring a wealth of experience to the program.

His previous coaching appointments include working for the Major League Soccer (MLS) professional soccer organization the New York Red Bulls as an academy coach in their training programs which works with numerous soccer clubs throughout New Jersey, New York and Pennsylvania; serving as the Men's Assistant Coach at Penn State Worthington Scranton; a head soccer coach at Lakeland Junior Senior High School; and as a New Jersey Monmouth Ocean Soccer Association (MOSA) Travel Soccer Head Coach.

Coach Cardamone has various Coaching Diplomas including: the NSCAA Premier Diploma, NSCAA Director of Coaching, Club Management Diploma and the NSCAA Goalkeeping Level II Diploma.

His playing experiences include two seasons as a center midfielder for Keystone College in the Colonial States Athletic Conference (CSAC) NSCAA DIII, during which the Giants earned a playoff berth in 2008; playing for Mid Valley High School where he was named a PIAA Second-Team All Star Midfielder in his Junior year and a PIAA First-Team All Star Midfielder his Senior year; as well as playing for various travel clubs throughout his youth soccer years. Cardamone is also a certified PIAA Soccer Referee.

Justin has a Bachelor's Degree in Secondary Education and a Minor Degree in Mathematics from Keystone College. In 2015. He also completed a Master's of Science in Classroom Technology from Wilkes University

Cardamone and the newly added Lackawanna College men's team will make their debut in the 2016 fall semester.
