Lackawanna Claims Tourney Win

New Tripoli, PA – Playing their second Eastern Pennsylvania Athletic Conference golf tournament this week, the Lackawanna College golf team claimed first place in the Lehigh Carbon Community College Invitational. The golfers posted a tourney best 308 team score. The Falcons were led by Joe Hurn, who was the tourney's medalist with a score of 72. It was the second time this week that Hurn shot the low score in an EPAC tournament.

Also contributing to the Lackawanna win were Zac Moore with a 74, Tyler Salak with a 78 and Ryan O'Malley with an 83.

Prior to the match, the tournament participants recognized the untimely passing of Lackawanna baseball player, Shane Rivenburgh, with a moment of silence and a words of condolence prior to teeing off.

Lackawanna continues conference play next Monday, April 18th, when they travel to the Green Pond Golf Club in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania, to participate in the Northampton Community College Open. The winner of that tourney will be awarded the PA-Delaware Cup, which is presently in the possession of the Lehigh Carbon Community College golf team.
