(Scranton, PA) – The Lackawanna Falcons took down Mercer County CC Saturday 99-61 to advance to the Region XIX Basketball Conference Finals tomorrow. The game will be played earlier than scheduled due to impending inclement weather. Tip-off is scheduled for 2:00pm.
Lackawanna walked into this semi-final game with a split series this season against Mercer County CC. The Falcons lost their first game 88-87 but won the second game 109-96. This time around Lackawanna went for a knockout early. Isaiah Wiggins, J'von Winslow, and Talek Williams all scored 12 points apiece in the first half. The Falcons shot over 56% from the floor and kept their foot on the pedal as they went into halftime with a 50-27 lead.
The second half saw the same 3 Falcons lighting up the scoreboard. Williams, Winslow, and Wiggins finished the game with 67 points combined. Lackawanna also shared the ball well, amassing 20 assists. The Falcons shot over 57% from the floor all game. Lackawanna wins 99-61.

The Falcons will play in the Region XIX Championship tomorrow (March 3rd) at 2:00pm. The game was originally scheduled for 3:00pm but has been moved up due to possible poor weather conditions.
