EPAC Names Briaunna McCullough and Talek Williams 2018-19 Basketball DII Players of the Year

(Scranton, PA) – Lackawanna College is proud to announce that Briaunna McCullough and Talek Williams have been named the 2018-19 EPAC Basketball DII Players of the Year.

Briaunna McCullough is in her Freshman year and comes to Lackawanna College from Harrisburg, PA. This season McCullough helped the Lady Falcons to a 23-5 (14-3) record and looks to help her team in the postseason as the Lady Falcons will play in the upcoming Region XIX Conference Tournament. Averaging 11.7 points per game, McCullough recorded a season high 22 points against Monroe College on January 24th. McCullough also played well defensively, she totaled 62 steals on the season. Congratulations to Briaunna McCullough on being named 2018-19 EPAC Women's Basketball DII Player of the Year.

Talek Williams is a Sophomore this season and resides in Allentown, PA. Talek averaged 21.7 points per game, helping Lackawanna reach an 18-11 (10-4) record. Talek and the Falcons will look to extend their postseason by advancing in the Region XIX Conference Tournament on March 2nd and 3rd. William's scored a season high 51 points against ASA College on January 10th, which helped him claim the honor of NJCAA DII Player of the Week. That week he recorded 75 points, 20 total rebounds, 6 assists, and 3 steals over the course of 2 games. Congratulations to Talek Williams on being named 2018-19 EPAC Men's Basketball DII Player of the Year.

Both Falcons and Lady Falcons will look to compete in the Region XIX Conference Tournament this weekend on March 2nd and 3rd. The Lady Falcons will take on Harcum College at 3pm, while the Falcons will take on Mercer County CC at 7pm on March 2nd.
