Scranton, PA - Lackawanna College is honored to announce that Justin Iton, a 6'7" forward, has signed a National Letter of Intent to continue his athletic and academic career at Post University, located in Waterbury, Connecticut. Post is a NCAA Division II school that is a member of the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference.
A one-year transfer for the Falcons, Iton played in 30 games this past season, scoring 201 points while dishing out 19 assets. On the boards, he grabbed 185 rebounds, and was credited with 11 steals and 22 blocks.
Iton also excelled in the classroom. He was named by the Eastern Pennsylvania Athletic Association to its All Academic Team. The EPAC All-Academic Team recognizes student athletes who have achieved at least a 3.25 GPA during the semester in which they were enrolled full time and participated in a sport.
At the signing, Falcon's Head Coach Brian Coyle said, "Justin is a special player, who comes into a program every once and a while. I was honored to coach this young man during this past year. It was special watching him mature and stay focused on his future. Justin did everything his team asked from him and it helped us play at a high level. I know Justin will be very successful at Post and he will help them maintain a high level of play."
