Lackawanna loses in Region Semi-Final

Randolph NJ: The Lackawanna College men's basketball team had their season come to an end with a 95-72 loss to Essex County College in the semi-final game of the Region XIX Division II Men's Basketball Tournament. With the loss, the Falcons finished the season with an overall win/loss record of 19-12.

In today's game Gil Benz ended the season with a 20 point effort. With those 20 points, Benz, a sophomore transfer, ended his season and career at Lackawanna with a team high of 527 points. Also scoring in double figures was freshman, Theron Reddy and sophomore, Cartier Talford. Both Reddy and Talford contributed 11 points. Those 11 points give Talford a total of 408 points this season and 713 over his two years at Lackawanna. R.J. Clarke and Justin Iton each had 6 rebounds today to lead the team in that category. For the season Kristian Gill led the team in rebounds with 209. Javontay Pipken was the team leader in assists for today with 5, the season leader was Theron Reddy with 104.
