Lackawanna loses key Region Game to RCBC

Scranton, PA, - Saturday afternoon, the Lackawanna College men's basketball team lost a key Region XIX Division II contest to Rowan College at Burlington County by a 73-67 score. With the loss, the Falcons now have a 6-4 record and dropped them into fourth place in the conference standings.

Leading scorer for Lackawanna was Cartier Talford with 20 points. Also scoring in double digits was Gil Benz with 14. Benz was team leader in rebounds with 7, while Theron Reddy was high man in assists with 4.

Lackawanna seeks to improve their conference record and gain a spot in the Region XIX Division II Men's Basketball Tournament when they travel to Randolph, NJ on Tuesday to play County College of Morris. A win in that contest will guarantee them a .500 conference win/loss record and a guaranteed invitation to the Region's DII Men's Tourney. Tuesday' game is scheduled for a 7:00 PM tipoff.
