Coyle wins in Coaching Debut.

Nanticoke, PA - Tuesday night, the Lackawanna College men's basketball team provided their head coach, Brian Coyle, a victory in his collegiate head coaching debut. In that victory, the Falcons outscored Luzerne County Community College by a score of 94-83.

Sophomore, Cartier Talford was the Falcons leading scorer with 16 points. He was followed by Dunmore graduate, Jonathan Williams, who in his college debut scored 15 points. Stevan Rodriguez also scored in double figures with 12 to go along with 11 rebounds for a double-double in points and rebounds. Raymond Mills led the team in assists with 8.

Coyle and his Falcons will face Rowan College at Burlington County on Thursday at Burlington's Pemberton, New Jersey, campus. Thursday's game will be Coyle's first game against a Region XIX Division II opponent. That game will start 20 minutes after the conclusion of the women's 5:00 PM game between Lackawanna and RCBC.
