Lackawanna adds Pettus to Basketball Staff

Scranton, PA – Lackawanna College Men's Basketball Head Coach, Brian Coyle, has announced that a third assistant has been added to his coaching staff for the 2016-2017 basketball season. Chad Pettus will be joining AJ McKenna and Pat Doherty as the third member of the Falcons' staff starting their intercollegiate coaching career this upcoming campaign.

Pettus began coaching with Coyle back, when the two lead St. Paul's Scranton to a Diocesan Championship and third place state finish. The following year, he helped Coach St. Paul's to a state championship.

He was a two sport athlete for Scranton High, where he was a member of the track and basketball teams. A 1999 graduate of Scranton High School, Pettus earned a Track and Field scholarship to attend Slippery Rock University, where he majored in marketing.

He currently resides in Scranton, Pennsylvania and works for Neighbor Works NEPA as a homeownership specialist.

Coyle, who is in his first year as a head coach, and his staff will be making their college debut on Tuesday, when the Falcons travel to Nanticoke, Pennsylvania to play cross county rival, Luzerne County Community College.
