Lackawanna falls to Valley Forge

Student Union: The Lackawanna College men's basketball team fell to intrastate Region XIX rival Valley Forge Military College 76-68. The loss gives them a conference win/loss record of 7-7. The Falcons would have clinched a seed in the Region's post season tournament with a win.

As it stands, Lackawanna can still clinch a spot in that tourney by beating Mercer County Community on Thursday or claiming a win over Rowan College at Burlington College next Tuesday, a home game.

Top scorers in the loss were Quintin Ward with 17 points, Cartier Talford with 15 and Mark Perry with 12. James Ezell, Ward and Perry were co-leaders in boards, all with 6 rebounds; while Talford and Perry led in assists with 3 each.

Lackawanna plays next on Thursday when they travel to West Windsor, New Jersey to play Mercer County Community College. Thursday's game is scheduled for 7:00 PM.
