Join Our Team – Falcons Basketball Coaches Fight Against Cancer

On December 18th, 2015, from 7:00-9:00PM, Head Men's Basketball Coach Kevin Clark and Assistant Men's Basketball Coach Corey Valvano will be hosting their 3rd Annual Coaches vs. Cancer of NEPA Holiday Happy Hour at Ale Mary's in Downtown Scranton. The event will benefit the American Cancer Society and the local Coaches vs. Cancer of NEPA by donating 100% of the proceeds. In just their first two years, the hometown coaches have raised over $5,000 for the organization.

"Coach Valvano and I take this opportunity very seriously as we continue to try and help in the fight against cancer. As two local coaches, we feel it is necessary to do our very best and raise money for those suffering from this terrible disease, so those individuals can receive the proper treatment and enjoy the holiday with their families."

A $25 admission fee will cover all domestic drafts, house wines, and a variety of Ale Mary's appetizers. In addition, guests will have an opportunity to take their chances at raffle items that include 4 tickets to a St. John's Men's Basketball game at Madison Square Garden, autographed memorabilia from the Philadelphia Flyers and the Kansas University Men's Basketball team, and many items and gift cards from local businesses!

"This event is such a great opportunity to bring our friends, family, basketball and local community members together around the holidays to support such an important cause.", added Valvano. "Unfortunately, cancer is a disease that has affected and continues to affect way too many of us, and as coaches, having the type of platform that we have, it is imperative that we relentlessly continue the fight until the desired outcome is met."

Please join our Men's Basketball coaches for an enjoyable night of fun, laughter, and entertainment as they continue the fight against cancer!
