Lackawanna Loses in Tournament Opener

Rochester, NY – Saturday afternoon, the Lackawanna College men's basketball team fell to Mohawk Valley in the opening game of the Pete Pavia Memorial Tournament. Mohawk edged out the Falcons in that opener 73-71.

Leading scorers for Lackawanna were Mark Perry with 26 points and Cartier Talford with 17. Perry also led the team in rebounds with 8 and steals with 3. Roger Clarke had team high in assists with 5, while also scoring 7 and recording 6 rebounds.

Lackawanna places again tomorrow at 2:oo PM in the Third Place game. Their opponent will be the loser of tonight's contest between Delaware Technical Community College and Monroe Community College.
