Lackawanna beats Mercer for first Region home win

Scranton PA- Double doubles by Jesse Huff and Quintin Ward led the Lackawanna College men's basketball team to 68-55 win over the Vikings of Mercer County Community College. Both Huff and Ward had their double double in points and rebounds, with Huff scoring 18 points and registering 11 rebounds, while Ward scored 14 and grabbed 11 rebounds.

Also having an outstanding performance for the evening was Mark Perry, who came within a rebound of recording the Falcons' third double double; Perry had 16 points and 9 rebounds. Markel Epps had Lackawanna's remaining double digit night with 11 points.

The victory was the Falcons' initial home conference win of the 2015 campaign and leaves them with a Region XIX win loss record of 2 wins and 3 losses. Lackawanna seeks to even that record on Thursday when they travel to Newark, Delaware to play Delaware Technical Community College. Thursday's game is scheduled for 7:00 PM.
