Falcons Closes Conference Play with a Loss

Newark, NJ: The Lackawanna College Men's Basketball Team ended their 2014-2015 Region XIX Division II league play with a 105 -64 loss to Essex County College. Despite the loss, the Falcons are guaranteed a spot in the Region's Division II Men's Basketball Tournament based on their 8-8 win/loss record. Where, when and whom they will be matched with will be determined as the league's final games are played out.

Mark Perry was Lackawanna's top performer in the loss with a double-double performance of 20 points and 11 rebounds. David Hartman and Kyle Menard also had double figure nights with 10 points each.  D'Armond Player was a point short of a double digit game with 9 as he led the team in assists with 3. Perry's 11 rebounds was the team high in that statistical category.

The Falcons still have three non-conference regular season games before their regular season comes to a conclusion. Saturday they play Monroe College at home; Tuesday, they travel to Sullivan County Community College; and; Thursday they host Howard Community College at home. Satursday's game is scheduled for a 1:00 PM tip-off.
