LACKAWANNA COACHES AND THE FIGHT AGAINST CANCER

For the second straight year, Head Men's Basketball Coach Kevin Clark and Assistant Men's Basketball Coach Corey Valvano will continue to do their part in the fight against cancer as they host their annual Holiday Happy Hour to benefit the American Cancer Society Coaches vs. Cancer of Northeast Pennsylvania. Last year, Coach Clark and Coach Valvano hosted their event at Kildare's in Downtown Scranton, which raised over $2,000 for the local organization.

This year's event will be held on Friday, December 19th at Ale Mary's on Franklin Avenue in Downtown Scranton. From 8:00-10:00pm guests will be able to enjoy a variety of food and beverages provided by Ale Mary's. A $25 admission fee will cover all domestic drafts, house wines, and well drinks in addition to several appetizers, with all of the proceeds going directly to the American Cancer Society.

The evening will feature several different raffle items just in time for the holiday as participants will have a chance to win prizes like tickets to a St. John's Men's Basketball game at Madison Square Garden, tickets to a Villanova Men's Basketball game at the Wells Fargo Center, an autographed football from New York Giants wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr., an autographed jersey and puck from a Philadelphia Flyer, A Lackawanna College Athletics Apparel Package and many different items donated by local businesses like What The Fork Truck, Over the Moon, New Laundry, the Daisy Collection and more!
