Scranton, PA: Manor College men's basketball hit at three pointer in the last fifteen seconds of Sunday's game against Lackawanna College to draw within one point of tying the Falcons. However, that was as close as the Blue Jays would come, as the foul shooting of D'Armound Player and Kyle Menard answered that threat. During those closing seconds, Player went one for two from the free throw line. However, Menard was able to grab an offensive rebound on the one charity shot Player missed and in the process was fouled. Menard then sunk his two free throws which clinched the Falcons 84-80 Victory over the previously undefeated Manor team.
Four Falcons scored in double figures in the win. Of those four, Travaun Coad was the top scorer with 20 points. He was followed by Menard with 14; Marquise Caudill with 13; and, Player with 11. Isaiah Frances led the team in rebounds with 7. Player led in assists and steals with 8 and 6 respectively.
The win allowed the Falcons to remain undefeated in conference play with three wins without a loss and raised its overall win/loss record to 5-3.
Before Lackawanna goes on a seven day hiatus, they will have to travel on Tuesday to West Windsor, New Jersey to play Mercer County Community College. Tuesday's contest is scheduled for a 7:00 PM tip-off. If history is any indicator, the Falcons will be in for another wild contest.
