Scranton, PA – For the fourth straight game, the Lackawanna College football team scored 40+ points to improve their win/loss record to an unbeaten 4-0. Saturday night, it was a 49-14 win over the Kats of Erie Community College. With that win, the Falcons have averaged 50 points a game while relinquishing and average of 20.5 points.
Again, Lackawanna used their rushing game to establish an effective offense attack. Three Falcons ran for 80 or more yards. JoEl Shaw carried the ball 20 times for 107 yards and a touchdown of four yards; Eric Finney had 20 rushes for 86 yards; while, Nasir Hooker carried the ball once for 80 yards and a TD.
The Falcons also showed that they could throw the ball, as Michael Dare threw for 215 yards on 13 completions in 20 attempts. Three of those passes were touchdown passes of 22 yards to Kyren Best, 10 yards to Juwan Green and 11 yards to Greg Skepnak.
Green not only scored on a TD pass, but also, caught six passes for 139 yards and returned a kickoff for 80 yards and another score.
Defensively four Falcons had four solo tackles. They were Raymond Donte, London Cloud, Daymon Anderson and JaQuan Brisker. However, it was Brisker's pass defense that excited the Falcon faithful.
