Lackawanna ranked Fourth in most recent NJCAA Poll

Scranton, PA: The Lackawanna College football team is ranked fourth in the most recent NJCAA poll, released on September 9, 2016. That fourth place position in the polls, is the highest the Falcons have been ranked since before the 2000-2001 academic year. The last time that the Falcons were ranked in the top five in the NJCAA poll, was during the 2007 football season. At that time, Lackawanna held fifth-place in the September 25th rankings.

The Falcons achieved this early-season success by winning its first three contests, scoring an average of 57 points, while only giving up 9 points in the game against Hudson Valley Community College and 21 points in the its contest versus the Valley Forge Military College.

Lackawanna is the only Eastern school to be ranked in this week's poll.

The Falcons seek to secure their Position in the polls this weekend, when they travel to Garden City, NY, to take on the Lions of Nassau Community College. Kick off for that game is 1:00 PM.
