New Rochelle, NY: The Lackawanna College rushing game led the Falcons to a 50-0 win over Monroe College. Marclias Sutton scored twice on runs of 9 yards and 2 yards, while three other Falcons scored on running plays; Terry Norris and DJ Morris both from 4 yards out and Demetrius Louis from 9 yards. As a team Lackawanna gained 290 yards on 43 rushing attempts.
Gary Gore was the Falcon's leading rusher with 72 yards gained on 7 attempts. Andrew Ford led the passers with 11 completions in 20 attempts for 165 yards along with his 2 touchdowns. Leading receiver was Michael Boland with 2 catches for 43 yards and a TD.
Defensively, Kapri Doucet led in tackles with 6. He was also credited with 2 sacks. Second leading tackler was Nick Flores with 4, who was also forced a fumble. Other notable defensive plays were sacks by Timothy Soave and Dajon Emory; and an interception by Shane Schuback.
Lackawanna has a bye week this week and will not return to the field until October 31st when they host Dean College as part of their home coming festivities. Kick off for that contest is scheduled for 12:00 PM.
