Lackawanna Rallies from Halftime Deficit to Claim Victory

Scranton, PA – Trailing 20 – 19 at halftime in Sunday's home game against Army Prep, the Lackawanna College Football team rebounded with 24 points in the third quarter to claim a 49-36 victory. During that period, the Falcons surged to a unsurmountable 43-20 lead on a Pat Frio 37 yard field goal; a 15 yard scoring run by Kani Kane; a 30 yard touchdown pass from Andrew Ford; and a defensive score on a fumble return by Kapri Doucet.

Offensive leaders for the Falcons in the win were Terry Norris with 129 yards and a touchdown on 17 rushing attempts: Andrew Ford with 162 passing yards and TD on 11 completions in18 attempts; and, John Williams with 94 yards on 5 pass receptions, two of which were scores. Also having notable performances were Marcelias Sutton who ran for 97 yards and a touchdown on 10 carries; and, David Pindell, who completed all four passes he threw. He gained 88 yards through the air.

Defensively Shane Schuback and Justin Walker were the Falcons' leading tacklers. Walker recorfded 8 solo tackles, four of which were for losses totaling 13 yards; he also had a fumble recovery. Schuback had 7 solo tackles and three assists, one TFL of 3 yards, a forced fumble, and an interception which he returned for 11 yards. Other notable defensive performances included Doucet's fumble recovery for touchdown and the Falcon's 6 pass break ups, two of which were credited to Kyzir White.

The Falcons remain at home next weekend when they host Nassau Community College in a Northeast Football Conference contest. Next Saturday's game is scheduled for 2:00 PM
