Seahawks Select Glowiniski in NFL Fourth Round
For the second time in three days, the Lackawanna College Athletic Department and its football team are pleased to announce that former Falcon lineman, Mark Glowinski, has been selected in the NFL Draft. Glowinski was picked by Seattle Seahawks in the fourth round; the 134th overall player chosen.
Glowinski, a graduate of GAR Memorial High School, Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania, he graduated from Lackawanna in 2011 and transferred to West Virginia University, where he red shirted his Junior year and then started the last two years as the Mountaineers' right guard. After completing his senior year, he was named to the 2014 All-Big 12 Football Second Team. In going to Seattle in he will join former Lackawanna Trail graduate, John Glenn, who is the Seahawks' Quality Control Coach for the Seattle defense.
With Glowinski's selection, four former Falcons will start pre-season camp with an NFL team; Glowinski with the Seattle Seahawks, Kevin White with the Chicago Bears, Josh Francis with the Green Bay Packers and Lorenzo Taliaferro with the Baltimore Ravens.
