(Randolph, NJ) – Lackawanna Baseball took to the road on Thursday to take on County College of Morris. Lackawanna dropped game one 2-0 and lost game two 6-5. The Falcons record is now 10-11.
Game 1 was a tough one offensively for Lackawanna as they only managed 1 hit. Matt Clarke hit a single in the top of the 6th. County College of Morris put up their only runs in the 4th inning and won the game 2-0. The losing pitcher was Grant Powell. He pitched 5 innings, gave up 4 hits and 2 earned runs.

Game 2 saw the Falcons bats come alive as the team recorded 11 hits. The Falcons first score was in the top of the 2nd as Thylar Summarell hit a solo homerun to center field. Lackawanna's second run crossed the plate in the top of the 3rd as Ryan Cole hit an RBI single to center. County College of Morris would score a run back in the bottom of the 4th to make the game 2-1 Falcons. Lackawanna continued their offensive pressure into the 5th as Zac Granger belted a double up the middle for 2 runs. Lackawanna scored another run in the 6th only to be answered by 4 runs for Morris in the bottom of the 6th. Three of the runs were off of a 3-run homer. The game would go into the 8th inning when County College of Morris hit a walk-off single to center. Morris won 6-5. The losing pitcher was Owen Kiess. He pitched 1 inning, gave up 3 hits and 1 earned run.
Zac Granger: 2-4, 2 RBI
