    Myrtle Beach, SC- The Lackawanna College Men’s Baseball team ended their 2018 spring trip to the Ripkin Experience with a 17-9 loss to Carl Sandburg College.
  • Falcons fall to Danville Area in Friday Morning Contest

    Myrtle Beach, SC – Friday morning the Lackawanna College Men’s Baseball team fell to Danville Area Community College by a 10-5 score. Despite the loss, the Falcons were not shy at the plate as they collected 10 hits, six of which went for extra-bases.
  • Falcon Nine Split Thursday Contests

    Myrtle Beach, SC – Thursday, the Lackawanna College Baseball team split the two games they played at the Ripken Experience in Myrtle Beach, SC. In the first game, the Falcons lost 4-3 in a heart breaker to Penn State – Allegheny, when PSU rallied to score two runs in the bottom of the seventh. In the night cap, the Falcons rebounded to shutout College of DuPage by a 18-0 score.
  • Falcons split in Tuesday Play

    Myrtle Beach, SC – The Lackawanna College Baseball team split the two games played on Tuesday. They lost the first game by a 9-4 score to Kanakee Community College before rebounding in their night game to take a 11-3 win over Henry Ford Community College.

    Myrtle Beach, SC – Monday afternoon, the Lackawanna College lost twice in both contests that it played at the Ripken Experience. In its first game of the day, Lackawanna fell to Danville Area Community College by a 6-3 score. In the night cap, they lost to Kanakee Community College 4-3.
  • Lackawanna splits Twin Bill with Olney

    Myrtle Beach, SC – Sunday afternoon, the Lackawanna College Baseball team opened their spring trip to the Ripken Experience with double header split with Olney Central College. In the opener, the Falcons fell by a score of 6-5, before winning 6-5 on a walk off single by CJ Lopez in the night cap.
  • Falcons take Opener with 6-2 Win

    Flemington NJ – Tuesday afternoon, the Lackawanna College Baseball team opened its 2018 regular season at Diamond Nation in Flemington, New Jersey with a 6-2 win over Camden Community College. Lackawanna was led by Kelani Luke and Thylar Summarell. Luke singled, homered and drove in two runs in three at bats, while Summerall singled doubled and drove in three runs in four at bats.
  • Falcon Baseball Players Read to John Adams Elementary Students

    Scranton, PA - On Thursday, February 1, the Lackawanna College Baseball Team traveled less than a mile to John Adams Elementary School to read to students in grades Kindergarten – 4th grade. Falcon baseball players introduced themselves, read books to different classes and answered questions.
  • Lackawanna College Baseball - 2018 Preview
    February 14, 2018
    The Falcon baseball team will kick off its 2018 season at Guilford Technical Community College on Sunday, February 18th.  The Falcons are coming off a 2017 season where they were ranked as high as 13th in the country; recorded a 35-17 overall record; and, finished runner-up in the Region XIX tournament. The Falcons graduated 13 sophomores, all who went on to play at four-year universities, except for Jared Solomon. Solomon was selected in the 11th round of the MLB Draft by the Cincinnati Reds organization and subsequently signed a professional contract soon thereafter.
  • Lackawanna Baseball Announces 2018 Schedule

    The Lackawanna College Baseball team, through its third year Head Coach, Bruce Thompson, has released its 2018 schedule. The Falcons look to improve on last season’s 35-17 record and Region XIX Runner up finish in the Region’s Division II Baseball Tournament.
  • Eight Falcon Baseball Players Commit to NCAA Colleges

    Scranton, PA: Lackawanna College and its Baseball Head Coach, Bruce Thompson, announced that eight of the team’s sophomores signed their National Letters of Intent during the NCAA early signing period. The eight have committed to attend either a NCAA Division I or Division II institution for the 2017-18 academic year. The core of that group performed as freshmen on last season’s squad that recorded an impressive 35-17 record and finished runner-up in Region 19.
  • Falcon Duo selected to play for US Virgin Island National Team

    Sophomore third basemen Jahmoi Percival and sophomore infielder/pitcher Kelani Luke have been selected as members of the US Virgin Island’s National Team. They are presently playing with that team in a qualifying tournament in the Dominican Republic, which started on Thursday, October 26th and will conclude on Monday, October 30th. The tournament serves as a qualifier to determine the countries that will be moving onto the Caribbean and Central America games being held in August of 2018 in Barranquilla Columbia.
  • Vince Rebar is the newest member of the Lackawanna College coaching staff

    Vince Rebar is the newest member of the Lackawanna College coaching staff, joining the staff for the start of the 2017-2018 academic year. Vince Rebar is a 2012 graduate of Holy Cross HS in Dunmore, PA coached by Sandy Menichetti. He began his collegiate baseball career at Division II Franklin Pierce University in New Hampshire. The following year, he returned to PA to play four years at Marywood University. Each of his first three years, Vince was selected All CSAC infielder and led the team in several categories, including batting average and hits. In 2015 and 2016, he was named team MVP.  
  • John Mendola interviews Coach Thompson regarding Falcon Baseball Program

    Recently, Lackawanna College Baseball Head Coach Bruce Thompson had the opportunity to sit down for an interview on the John Mendola Show. Coach Thompson, who will be entering his third year as Head Coach of the Falcon Baseball program, discussed his intense fall baseball schedule; his top players and the outlook for the 2017-2018 season.  Everyone is welcome to come out and support the team as they play host to Lehigh Carbon Community College on Saturday, September 23rd for a noon double header at Lackawanna Field and East Stroudsburg University on Sunday, on September 24th for a noon doubleheader.
  • Lackawanna announces 2017 Baseball Fall Schedule

    Scranton, PA - Coach Bruce Thompson has announced the 2017 Lackawanna Fall baseball schedule. The Falcons will be playing a competitive 20 game scrimmage schedule starting September 9 against Luzerne Community College and concluding with Scout Day on Friday, October 27th at Lackawanna Field.
