Falcon Baseball 2017 Schedule Released

The Lackawanna College Baseball team released its 2017 schedule, as 2nd year Coach Bruce Thompson looks to build on last season's 26-18 win/loss record and a 3rd place finish in a competitive Region XIX Division II.

The schedule is highlighted with a February trip to North Carolina for games at Surry Community College and Rockingham Community College.  The following weekend the team will play Rockland Community College at Diamond Nation in Flemington, New Jersey. The Falcons will then head south during spring break to Myrtle Beach, South Carolina for 10 days. They will play some of the top teams in the country at the Ripken Experience.

In addition to a tough conference schedule against Region XIX DII opponents, the Falcons play a competitive non-region schedule.  The non-region schedule includes NJCAA Division I ASA College along with NJCAA Division II opponents, SUNY Orange, Dutchess Community College, CCBC Catonsville, and Monroe Community College, who made it to the 2016 NJCAA Division II World Series. On Thursday, May 4th at 5:00pm the Falcons will host Northampton Community College for a 9 inning game at PNC Field, home of the Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre Railriders.

The Falcon's first home game is slated for Wednesday, March 1st against Penn State Schuylkill.
