Falcons Shutout Olney in Ripken Opener

Myrtle Beach – The Lackawanna College baseball team opened the spring trip portion of their schedule with a 1-0 win over Olney Central College. The Falcons' score came in the second inning when Shane Rivenburgh led off with a Base on Balls; moved to third on Wady Tactuk's single; and scored on Dustin Wilcox's base hit.

Pitcher, Max Frederick, was Lackawanna star. He hurled seven innings of shutout ball, relinquishing only five hits, while striking out one. With the win Frederick now has a win/loss record of 1-1.

Lackawanna's top hitter was Tactuk, who had two singles in three at bats. Also having base hits were Connor Perry, Zach Lopatka, Ethan Bowen and Wilcox.

The Falcons next take the field tomorrow when they play John Wood Community College at 10:00 AM and Danville Area Community College at 12:30 PM. All spring trip games are being played at Ripken Experience, Myrtle Beach South Carolina.
