Myrtle Beach, SC – On Monday afternoon, the Lackawanna College Baseball team took two more games on their spring trip to the Ripken Experience, beating Mohawk Valley Community College 2-0 and Bergen Community College, 3-0.
In the opener, Eric Grabowski continued to carry a hot bat for the Falcons as he doubled twice in the opener and scored what proved to be the winning run in the first inning on a Rasheem Noble's double. Others having multi-hit games were Nobles with a single to go along with his double; and, Arbely Soto,who singled twice.
The second game proved to be another pitchers battle as Trevor Bridgen and Zadiel Parrilla combined for a shutout with Bridgen claiming the win and Parrilla his first save of the season. Bergen limited the Falcons to three hits, each which proved decisive. In the third inning, Joe Spitaleri led off the inning with a triple and scored an out later on a Bernard Brito double. In the fourth, Arbely Soto walked and scored on a Sjaghbar Martis triple, Martis scored later in the inning on a groundout.
