Glowinski Commits to West Virginia

The Football Program at Lackawanna College is honored to announce that its NJCAA All-American Lineman, Mark Glowinski, has verbally committed to the University of West Virginia. Glowinski chose the Mountaineers because he felt it was the best for him both academically and athletically. It also provided his family an opportunity to attend a majority of his games.

Lackawanna Men Win in Overtime
2012-01-24 - Men's Basketball
In a contest, in which there were fifteen lead changes, Lackawanna College men’s basketball team won a key conference game over Salem Community College by an overtime score of 100-91. The Falcons’ win was spurred by a bench who outscored their opponent’s bench 36-4. Key to the bench’s performance was the play of Javon White. Entering the game as the team’s sixth man, White scored 22 points and grabbed 11 rebounds, eight of which came on defense.

At Carneys Point, New Jersey, Terika Turner's 18 points and Megan Campbell's 17 led the the Lackawanna College women's basketball team to a 65-45 Tuesday night win over Salem Community College. In beating the Oaks, Lackawanna improved their conference record to 8-2 and placed themselves within two games of clinching a spot in the Region XIX Division II Women's Basketball Tournament. Presently Lackawanna is in second place in the Region's standings. Overall the Lady Falcons have ten wins and four losses.

Saturday’s cancelled basketball doubleheader against Del-Tech Stanton has been rescheduled. It will now be played on Thursday, February 2nd at the Lackawanna College Student Union. The twin bill will start at 5:00 PM with a women’s contest between Lackawanna and Del-Tech. The men’s game between those institutions will be played at the conclusion of the women’s game.
